Mallam Nasir Elrufai, the governor of Kaduna State, has reacted to the arrival of the latest fighter jet in the region. He claims that this is the beginning of the end of the country’s terrorism and banditry. He also expresses gratitude to Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (rtd), the immediate past Chief of Air Staff, and Air Marshal Amoo, the new Chief of Air Staff, for obtaining the equipment.
He expressed himself as follows: “GOOD NEWS: By God’s special grace, the beginning of the end of insurgency and banditry. Thank you, Air Marshal Sadiq (Retired), for bringing the NAF back to life. Thank you, Air Marshall Amao, for keeping up the good work in putting an end to banditry in our state.”
The governor’s comment has elicited a wide range of reactions from Nigerians. Check out some of the reactions below. Do you think this is the beginning of the end for Nigeria’s Boko Haram insurgents? Please leave your thoughts in the box below. Like and spread the word.
Oluwafemi defined the situation as follows: “A multi-pronged strategy for defeating the insurgency must be devised. It must take into account socioeconomic, political, and religious considerations (aside from the military campaign). I don’t want to be pessimistic, but the A-29’s arrival might not be the panacea some had hoped for.”
