
The Sports loving Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma stated that his Administration has secured approval for heartland the state-owned football club to participate in the Nigerian Professional League starting the 6th of December, 2020.

This he disclosed to Journalists during his Inspection of ongoing repairs of the long-abandoned Dan Anyiam Stadium left to decay by past administrations.
He further added that heartland will start the early matches with the Okigwe stadium, then move over to Dan Anyiam Stadium as the repairs are almost completed.

The Governor stated his commitment to ensuring that the necessary support is given to the team to excel not just in the local league but move on to the international league as Nigeria’s representative.
