Gunmen suspected to be terrorists have abducted Rev. Fr. Bobbo Paschal, the Parish Priest of St. Stephen Parish, Kushe Gugbu, in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The attack occurred in the early hours of Monday, November 17, 2025, when the armed men invaded the parish premises and whisked the priest away from his residence.
The Archdiocese of Kaduna confirmed the incident in a statement issued by its Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Christian Okewu Emmanuel. According to the statement, the assailants also murdered the brother of another priest, Rev. Fr. Anthony Yero, during the attack.
Fr. Okewu further disclosed that several other persons were abducted by the gunmen, raising fears of yet another coordinated assault on rural communities in the region.
“We call on all men and women of goodwill to join us in praying for their safety and quick release from the hands of their abductors and for the peaceful repose of the dead. Amen,” the statement added.
