Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has described the Igbo community as one of the most significant stakeholders in the Nigerian project. Speaking at a public event, Shettima noted the widespread presence and economic contribution of the Igbo people across the country, stating that “half of Abuja is owned by Ndigbo.”

He added that the visibility of both Igbo and Hausa communities in any location is often a sign of safety and vibrancy. “There’s hardly any place in this country where, if you don’t see an Igbo man and a Hausa man, you shouldn’t be worried,” he said.
