
Celebrity businessman and nightlife promoter, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana ChiefPriest, has expressed frustration over the state of Nigeria’s healthcare system after a recent experience while seeking medical attention in Lagos.
In a post on his Instagram story, the businessman revealed that he fell ill and visited a popular hospital in Ikoyi, where after undergoing vitals, he was left unattended for over an hour because no doctor was available.
“I no wan post the hospital because I understand what business is all about. I went to another one in Lekki and they insisted I fill a long form online before seeing a doctor,” he lamented.
Unable to get prompt treatment, ChiefPriest said he resorted to purchasing malaria and typhoid medications at a pharmacy, while expressing his disappointment at the system. He further noted that he would undergo proper medical checks when he travels to the UK.
“Honestly healthcare is a joke in this country… na God dey save person for this country,” he wrote.
