The Abia State internal Revenue Service, has approved the renewal of appointment Gach Energy Resources Limited, as Revenue Agent on Produce Haulage Fees Enforcement in the State.
This was contained in a letter addressed to the Manager Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Resources Limited, Dated 6th August, 2020.
According to the letter signed by the Acting Chairman/Chief Executive of the State Revenue Service, Agbara Celestine, “After due appraisal of your performance for period of one year which ended on 5th, August, 2020, Abia State Internal Revenue Service has approved renewal of your appointment for another Twelve(12) months with effect from 6th August, 2020 based on satisfactory performances between 3rd February, 2020 till date of this renewal.
“While congratulating you on this reappointment, it is expected you reciprocate government’s gesture by redoubling your efforts on mandate, “It added.
Meanwhile, In an reply letter, to Application for Police Assistance on Heavy Duty Haulage Activities, signed by DCP Arungwu Nwazue, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, made available to newsmen in Umuahia, Thursday, stated, “The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 9 Headquarters, Umuahia, directs you peruse all the documents over the multiple tax collection and inform your State Governments and Board of Internal Revenue”.
In another development, Vogval Venture Limited, located at No 12 Uzodinma Ugele Drive Eghem Layout, Umuahia, Abia State, has been disengaged as serving as Revenue Agent.
It was learnt that Vogval Venture Limited, has not been registered as it is non existing Revenue Service Firm, which had allegedly continued to engage in unlawful collection of multiple taxes on Heavy Duty & Haulage Transport Activities.
The unlawful activities of Vogval Venture Limited, has become a sort of concern as it was alleged it had no corporal and legal backing to even handle Heavy Duty and Haulage Activities.
It was further learnt that the alleged unregistered firm is linked to Mr. Chidiebere Kanu, an Aide to the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Chinedum Orji, which watchers of event in the State, described activities as criminal.
The public are however advised to be wary of the obnoxious activities of Vogval Venture Limited as it is not a registered firm and acts illegally in collection of taxes on Heavy Duty Truck And Haulage Transporters.
