Hotel Presidential, ICC, ESUT: Governor Mbah Breathes New Life into Enugu Landmarks

Governor Peter Mbah is the only governor since 1999 that inherited abandoned or unfinished projects from all the previous administrations and refused to abandon them.

He has been completing those projects and some are now boosting the state’s IGR.

ICC was left untouched since Chimaroke left office in 2007. Governor Mbah came and completed it.

Hotel Presidential was abandoned and went moribund since 2012 – 2013. Governor Mbah came and completed it.

Over half of the new secretariat built by former Governor Sullivan Chime was abandoned for years. Governor Mbah came in, reawarded the abandoned project for completion. It’s now a work in progress .

ESUT was untouched for years. Governor Mbah came in and he’s doing greatly there.

SUMAS Teaching Hospital, Igbo-Eno was incomplete. Governor Mbah came and he’s completing it alongside other projects there.

The Niger Gas was abandoned for decades. Governor Mbah came in and revamped it.

The Enugu United Palm Products, where palm trees are grown and oil produced was abandoned. Governor Mbah resuscitated it.

The Sun Flour Mill was abandoned for decades. Governor Mbah is revamping it.

The Type-3 healthcare centres were not equipped. Governor Mbah came and remodeled and re-equipped the ones at Uzo Uwani – Adani, Nara, and Agwu with modern hospital equipments and employed health workers there.

Nsukka General Hospital literally in cømatose got a new shape under Governor Mbah.

Nsukka abandoned public water scheme is now resuscitated by the governor. The project gulped massive investment. Efforts are ongoing to extend the reticulation.

Nike Lake Resort was abandoned to nothing. Governor Mbah came and restructured the management and it’s now operating at optimal level. Now Land Mark…

Water facilities in the cities were reduced to latrines and pipes were all decayed. Today, major works had been done and more works are ongoing in the water sector.

Eha-Amufu’s Isi Uzo had no single road. Governor Mbah came and he’s turning their roads and fortune around.

The Enugu International Spare Parts and Allied Park between Udi and Ezeagu was abandoned for years. Today, the project is speedily taking a new shape.

Awgu Games Village was forgotten and consigned to history. Governor Mbah is revamping it.

Ngwo Pine Forest was the shadow of itself. Governor Mbah came and he’s doing a fantastic job there.

Awhum Waterfall, Akwuke Beach, etc, were dêâd, yet Governor Mbah is giving them a new lease of life.

Government House Clinic was in cøma when Governor Mbah came in. Visit there today, you’ll mistake it for an hospital in the heart of London.

The Enugu Int’l Hospital was only but a carcass. Governor Mbah is today turning it into a world-class health facility.

The Ajali and Oji River Waterworks were dëäd and unserviceable when Governor Mbah came in. Today, Oji River water scheme is working and Ajali is undergoing reconstruction.

How about the ESUT Teaching Hospital, Parklane? Visit there today and appreciate the disruptive innovation and transformation going on there. Perhaps, you won’t recognize it’s the Parklane you used to know.

The abandoned projects resuscitated by Governor Mbah are endless.

Let me stop here. You can add yours. All these projects are outside the new initiatives and new projects of Governor Mbah Administration.

Remember that the increase in IGR was not as a result of increase in tax. No. It’s as a result of the governor blocking people from stealing public funds meant for Ndi Enugu and for the development of the state.

Again, the increment in IGR in Enugu State was spiked by the return-on-investment made by Governor Mbah Administration. The International Conference Centre, the Hotel Presidential, the Enugu Air, etc, all yielding revenues making up the IGR.
