As the 2027 National Assembly Election draws nearer, Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi, a former House of Representatives Member, who represented Idemili north and Idemili south federal constituency of Anambra in the 9th National Assembly, has come up with yet another baseless argument regarding the representation of the constituency. Ibezi, a desperate power hungry politician, is so much hungry of power to become the Representative again.
Ibezi’s argument is baseless and lacks merit. The argument is baseless, and worthless as toilet tissue because it is on record that at every given national assembly elections, candidates of various political parties who are flag bearers of their respective parties from Idemili North LGA usually participate actively in the said National assembly election to contest against candidates from different political parties in Idemili South LGA. It is always a contest, he should stop being economical with the truth. It is a contest that sees candidates of various political parties from Idemili North and Idemili South coming together to muscle who will represent the federal constituency at the National assembly. So one should always wonder why he is lying, making baseless and unsubstantiated points that the people of Idemili South have represented so much.
Ibezi’s claim is a clear case of misinterpreting facts, a desperate attempt to mislead the public and gain sympathy. His desperation for power has clouded his judgment, leading him to peddle falsehoods and propaganda.
HAVE IBEZI’S ARGUMENTS BEEN REDUCED TO TRASH? YES, THEY HAVE! His claims are a trash, a complete fabrication with no factual basis. His accusations against Idemili South LGA are baseless and unfounded, and he should be ashamed of himself.
Ibezi’s actions are a classic example of a politician who has lost touch with reality. His decision to leave APGA in 2021 to join APC, only to lose the 2023 National Assembly election, seems to have sent him into a tailspin. His subsequent claims are nothing but a manifestation of his frustration and desperation. What’s next, Ibezi? Will you jump ship again, just like you did from APGA to APC, when you couldn’t get the ticket?
Ibezi, a known practitioner of political thuggery, should be the last person to lecture others on democratic principles. His brother and counterpart from Idemili North, Hon Obinna Chidoka, chased him out of the National Assembly in 2019 like a lion who meets a prey, and Chidoka recovered his stolen mandate from Ibezi because Ibezi didn’t win the 2019 national assembly election but rather when Chidoka was campaigning and mobilizing the electorates, he was so busy recruiting and training thugs, agberos who will hijack the ballot box.
The people of Idemili North and South Federal Constituency are not naive, and they will not be swayed by Ibezi’s baseless claims. The position of a Representative is not a birthright, and it is not zoned to any particular LGA. It is a contest, and candidates must be prepared to face the electorate and emerge victorious.
