Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has finally addressed his absence from the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), stating that he holds no resentment over being overlooked.
Speaking as a guest on the popular podcast Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by skit maker Isbae U, the seasoned actor responded candidly when asked about the matter.
“I am not interested. Why will I be praying for what I am not interested in? Whenever I am interested, I will submit a film and give it to them to see,” Chatta said.
His remarks have sparked discussions online, with many fans praising his honesty and self-assuredness. Despite his impressive performances and widespread fan base, Chatta has frequently been omitted from major award nominations—an issue that has puzzled many within the Nollywood community.
