Kano State former Governor, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has blasted the decision of Kano State Government, under the leadership of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, to take a loan of about 20 billion naira in order to construct the proposed Kano State three-step fly-over bridge.
Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, while speaking to a BBC Hausa reporter, said “I have constructed many fly-over bridges during my administration, but I did them with Kano State money, not by taking loans”.
He continued saying that “Although Kano State needs fly-over bridges, but the Government needs to invest more on education and small skill businesses”.
He also blasted the decision of the State Government of selling strategic public places for the building of private structures.
Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso assured that if they win the governorship election in the next general elections, all those private structures built in public places will be demolished.
