Igbos Are the Most Greedy Nigerians — Isaac Fayose

Isaac Fayose

Businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose sparked controversy after a video surfaced on social media criticizing the perceived lack of support for detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu by Igbo leaders.

In the video, Fayose said, “My wife is Igbo, so I’m partly Igbo. Igbos are the most gr£edy Nigerians. Sunday Igboho is at home. Sheik Gumi supports Fulani herdsmen. Nnamdi Kanu is in prison but Obi Cubana is wearing Tinubu cap instead of telling FG to release NK.”

Citing other activists, he added, “We have Sunday Igboho who is back now and even about to receive a chieftaincy title. Even Gumi is still supporting the t+rrorists with the claim that they are not educated, but no Igbo man is standing for Nnamdi.”

Fayose further criticized most Igbo politicians, saying that although they occupy corridors of power, they are unable to rally support for Kanu’s release. He also questioned the source of wealth of some wealthy figures, saying, “And I don’t know their source of wealth. You can easily trace mine, but I don’t know how Cubana, that chiefpriest who is a bar man, can be that rich. Claiming many Igbo people are consumed by flashy lifestyles.

Describing himself as selfless and humble, Fayose added, “During the protest, it was only Peter Obi who came out as an Igbo man, because others have collected caps. That’s why they are cheap to buy…” he said.
