IG’s Wife to Unveil POWA School in Bauchi, Fostering Education and Growth

Mrs. Elizabeth, the wife of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has arrived in Bauchi for the commissioning of the Police Children School, Sum, in Bogoro Local Government Area.

Elizabeth, who is the National President, Police Officers’ Wives Association, was received on Wednesday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport by top Police Officers in Bauchi, including the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Abubakar Sadiq, the Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Police Command, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, and the Bauchi State chairperson, POWA, Fatimah Sani-Omolori.

Speaking with journalists after a courtesy visit to the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Egbetokun said, “Exactly one year ago, we were here where we did a groundbreaking of POWA Model Children School, and by the special grace of God, we are again here today to commission that same school.

This is part of our mandate which is to make sure that our children go to school.

“We have three mantras; Education, Health and Empowerment.”

She maintained that getting it right from the root by educating children is the way forward, adding that the unveiling ceremony will be coupled with fund rising.
