The 2025 All Progressives Congress’ Gubernatorial flag bearer, Owelle Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu (IKUKUOMA) and the APC Anambra South Senatorial bye-election Aspirant, Sir Azuka Okwuosa (CHINYELUGO) on Saturday ,17th day of May, 2025 duely represented by Chief Obi Steve Onwuachu (UDEMBA IDEMILI) an APC stalwart, conveyed their warm felicitations to Rev. Mother MarySussan Ekpechi , the new Mother Abbess of St. Scholarstica Benedictine Abbey, Umuoji, Anambra State in a liturgical event presided over by the Archbishop Valerian Maduka Okeke, the Archbishop of Onitsha, with over two hundred priests, over four hundred Reverend Sisters, monks and nuns numbering over two hundred and countless lay faithfuls from all over the federation in attendance.
The highlight of the solemn event was the Abatial Blessing of The New Mother Abbess of the St. SCHOLASTICA BENEDICTINE Abbey Umuoji by Archbishop Valerian Maduka Okeke.
St Scholastica Benedictine Abbey Umuoji is a Benedictine women monastery of Nigeria. Founded under the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha with the initiative of His Eminence + Francis Cardinal Arinze Supported by the assistance of the Nuns of the Abbey of St John the Baptist in Rome in the year 1978.
The Archbishop of Onitsha astonished at the financial inputs (to the Monastery)of the duo, Owelle Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu and Sir Azuka Okwuosa( a friend of the monastery), non-catholics, showered them with encomiums and prayed for the success of their political aspirations.
