There is an ongoing protest at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu State, as internship students take to the premises to demonstrate against alleged salary shortages.
The interns, comprising medical and allied health professionals, are demanding the full payment of their entitled allowances, accusing the hospital management of shortchanging them despite their active service.
