Has Nimo, my Community lost all hope in Government??? Indeed the answer to the above question is hanging in limbo as at today.
Nimo is a beautiful town in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State which has paid its dues among the league of great towns in the State.
It is important to state that, Nimo Town is blessed with numerous great men and women especially in Law and in the Academia.
I am proud to tell people that Nimo has produced more than 15 Jugdes of various cedar of Courts, including the revered Justice GCM Onyiuke who was a world renowned Jury. Even Justice Tony Iguh who has Anambra State judiciary headquarters dedicated to his name is the OKOSISI OF NIMO.
Today, Nimo town is in tears each time we remember that the only Community Secondary School in our town is no longer accessible due to the total collapse of the only access road leading to the School.
Teachers posted to the School have influenced their postings out of the School due the unmanageable state of the road. Unfortunately, the students of about 1000 in number have only 11 teachers teaching them. What a terrible ratio.
Nimo has produced more than 79 Professors yet the only Community Secondary School in Nimo is in a state of dilemma because of the terrible condition of the access road.
However, hope is coming….
I have been told by many individuals that the Golden Eaglet, an Amazing Amazon, the Ezinne of Nimo, the Adaugo Igbo of Anambra Central; Iyom Sen. Uche Ekwunife (Anyanwu Nri-Kingdom) has promised to come to the aid of Nimo Community. This promise Adaugo made the last time she visited Nimo.
However, no one has told me that, Iyom has been reminded of her lovely and golden promise to Ndi-Nimo. If anybody has reminded her since then, the woman with the medas touch, I know would have swung into action.
Let me therefore use this opportunity to remind Her Excellency that, the good people of Nimo Kingdom who have almost lost hope in government are hoping on her.
No doubt Iyom is the next hope.
Let me plead with our people to keep faith as we struggle with tears believing that Iyom is coming sooner than immediately to clean our tears.
Indeed, Iyom is the next hope and she will not abandon us in this current state of hopelessness.
We pray that my humble prayers will be granted for one good turn deserves another.
