A judge has reportedly denied the request by rapper Future’s baby mama for $53,000 per month in child support, instead ordering the award-winning artist to pay $3,200 per month.
The ruling follows a legal dispute in which the child’s mother sought a significantly higher amount, arguing that the rapper’s income and lifestyle justified the request. The court, however, disagreed and opted for a much lower figure after reviewing the financial details presented.
The decision has since drawn widespread attention online, with many weighing in on the disparity between the amount requested and the amount granted.
Legal experts note that child support rulings are typically based on the child’s needs, the parents’ income, and principles of fairness not celebrity status.
Despite the major reduction, the court stated that the $3,200 monthly payment is adequate to meet the child’s essential needs and maintain a reasonable standard of care.
