Kemi Olunloyo Accuses Iyabo Ojo of Faking Grandson’s Birth Story

Kemi Olunloyo and Iyabo Ojo

Controversial journalist and social commentator, Dr. Kemi Olunloyo, has launched fresh allegations against Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, questioning the authenticity of her daughter Priscilla’s reported childbirth in Canada.

In a lengthy post, Olunloyo dismissed claims that Priscilla welcomed a baby boy named Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala in Toronto on August 24, 2025. According to her, checks in the Canadian live birth registry for 2025 do not reflect the child’s name, raising doubts about the announcement.

She further alleged inconsistencies, pointing out that the neonatal blanket seen in the pictures was American-made and “never used in Canadian delivery rooms,” suggesting that the materials may have originated from USAID maternal care donations common in African hospitals.

Olunloyo also claimed she found no record of Iyabo Ojo entering Canada through her “CBSA sources,” fueling her argument that the actress may have staged the birth story for publicity.

The outspoken journalist went on to accuse Iyabo of a pattern of dishonesty, referencing her past feuds with singer Naira Marley and the ongoing controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death investigation. She warned that her “community standards team” would move to take down the Instagram page of Ojo’s alleged grandson, insisting that babies are not allowed on the platform unless they are recognized models or public figures.
