The hopeful Mayor of Ayamelum Local Government Area and flag bearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Comrade Mgbechi Emmanuel Igwebuike, has extended warm wishes to schoolchildren across Ayamelum LGA as they commence their mid-term break.
Describing himself as a passionate advocate of education and a teacher with deep regard for young learners, Comrade Mgbechi called on parents to make the most of the holiday period by giving their children proper care and attention.
He urged parents to ensure their children are well-fed, adequately rested, and closely monitored during the break, stressing that the future of the society rests in their hands.
“These children are our future presidents, governors, and leaders. They represent the next generation that will shape our tomorrow,” he said.
Comrade Mgbechi also encouraged teachers to use the short holiday to rest and rejuvenate, acknowledging their critical role in nation-building.
“Teachers are pillars of our society — there is no compromise about that,” he emphasized.
He further advised parents and guardians to remain vigilant and actively involved in their children’s activities throughout the holiday season.
He concluded by wishing all teachers and schoolchildren in Ayamelum a peaceful and refreshing mid-term break, reiterating his belief that knowledge remains power and education is the foundation of a better tomorrow.
