
The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of Princess Saidat Odoffin-Fafowora, describing her as a rare gem and a devoted lover of the common man.
In a condolence statement issued on Monday, the Lagos State Executive Committee (EXCO) Elect of the PDP said it received the news of her passing with shock and profound sadness, noting that her demise is a major setback to the party and the people of Lagos East Senatorial District.
Princess Odoffin-Fafowora was the PDP’s 2023 Lagos East senatorial aspirant, the party’s flag bearer for the Ikorodu Central Chairmanship in the 2025 Lagos Council Election, and an Ex-Officio Member (6) of the Lagos State PDP EXCO elected on September 27, 2025.
The party described her as an astute politician, grassroots mobiliser and highly dedicated leader whose unwavering commitment to service, justice and unity set her apart.
“Princess Saidat Odoffin-Fafowora was not only a pillar of strength within the PDP family but also a selfless leader whose love for humanity, irrespective of political affiliation, endeared her to many,” the statement read.
According to the PDP, her passing represents a monumental loss to her family, Ikorodu Local Government Area, the Lagos East Senatorial District and the entire PDP family in Lagos State and beyond.
The Lagos PDP EXCO Elect extended its heartfelt condolences to her immediate family, political associates, constituents and party members, praying for strength and comfort for all those affected by the loss.
The party also prayed for divine mercy, asking Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
“She will be greatly missed, but her legacy of love, service and dedication will forever remain in our hearts,” the statement concluded.
