Local hunters arrested two members of a kidnap syndicate on Friday in the ancient town of Owo, the headquarters of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

This development was made public through a video posted on the Facebook page of one Ogbeni OB Sugar.

In the two-minute 41-second video, the two suspected kidnappers were seen being tied down while the residents of the area were heard interrogating them on their manner of operation, the identity of their leader and other related questions.

Also in the video, some items which include guns, cutlasses, cans of beer, and energy drink, among others, were spotted with the bandits.

One of the suspects was heard asking for water.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Olayinka Ayanlade, stated that he saw the video and the state command has swiftly swung into action by initiating a thorough investigation into the matter.

“I saw the video too, and we have commenced an investigation into it,” the PPRO stated.
