Thirty two people have been seriously injured following a liquified petroleum gas tanker explosion which occured at Iju Ishaga area of Lagos on Thursday.
The incident involved a 30 ton LPG Tanker operated by Mana Gas Ltd destroyed several vehicles, X and Y Event Center and a Plank Market.
Responders at the scene said they discovered that a compromised seal device by the truck driver had led to gradual leakages which then ignited when the tyres burst.
The Responders at the scene include the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA fire unit, Lagos State Fire service, the Police, and members of NSCDC. The General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA, Olufemi Oke Osanyitolu says the fire has been extinguished and damping down is being carried out.
