A major economic boost is underway in Ogun State as Mamuda Group Nigeria Limited announces a $50 million investment through its subsidiary, Mamuda Beverages. The company, led by its Chairman, Mr. Hassan Hammoud, revealed the plans during a recent visit to Governor Dapo Abiodun at the Governor’s Office in Abeokuta.
According to Mr. Hammoud, the business-friendly environment in Ogun was a key factor in the group’s decision to expand outside Kano for the first time. He noted that the stability, attractiveness, and abundant opportunities in the Gateway State made it the ideal location for the company’s new venture. The foundation stone for the new beverage facility is expected to be laid within the next month.
The company plans to begin operations with 1,500 employees and expand to 3,000 as the beverage arm grows. In subsequent phases, Mamuda Group intends to introduce other business segments in agro-processing, food production, personal care, and more—creating the potential for up to 13,000 jobs in Ogun State over the next five to six years.
Governor Abiodun welcomed the group on behalf of the state, praising their deliberate strategy and deep understanding of Nigeria’s business landscape.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting investors through enabling policies and infrastructure. “We are building a future where partnership drives prosperity,” the Governor stated, emphasizing Ogun’s position as Nigeria’s emerging industrial hub.
