The journey of a thousand miles they say begins with a step, this manifests in the life of a middle aged woman, Folashade Alabi who recently enrolled herself into the Junior Secondary School two (JSS-2) at the Ilorin Grammar School (IGS), Ilorin, Kwara State.
The development is linked to her quest for knowledge, and affirmation of the proverbial quote showing the relevance of education to human existence.
The search for education is universally believed to begin from cradle to grave, for Folashade Alabi, a middle aged woman who recently enrolled into Ilorin Grammar School in search of basic education, the journey appeared to be interesting.
The 38 years old Folashade who spoke to ait.live maintained that her passion for education motivated her to join the basic class despite delay in getting her rightful basic education before adolescent age.
Her Class Teacher, Busari Motunrayo said her comportment and human relations with her class mates stand her out.
The School Principal, Abdulrahman Akeyede also said there is a lesson for all through Folashade’s determination to learn.
The simple message here in this particular school is the fact that no one is too old to learn and for younger students they must take their studies very seriously.
