My Assets Were Acquired With Loans in 2017 – Seriaki Dickson

The immediate past governor of Bayelsa State Chief Seriaki Dickson, who is currently a Senator in the National Assembly has been accused by an NGO of mismanagement of office and abuse of public funds while he served as governor. A petition was filed against him by the NGO asking for an investigation of his declaration of assets to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) by EFCC.

Senator Dickson had on Tuesday presented himself to the Economic and Financial Crime Consultant (EFCC) to clear the air over the allegations made against him. The Senator in a statement signed by him explained that his family assets were acquired in 2017 with loans and repeated declarations to that effect were made to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) before becoming Bayelsa State Governor.
