The federal government has approved N6 billion for the construction of three mega schools in Gombe State. The schools, to be built by the North East Development Commission (NEDC), will be located in Dadin Kowa, Dukku, and Kaltungo.

The Minister of Regional Development, Alhaji Uba Ahmadu, said the projects aim to improve access to education and provide modern facilities, including hostels, ICT labs, and libraries, to boost learning outcomes. He also praised the Gombe State Government for collaborating on the initiative.

Mega schools in Northern Nigeria are designed to offer safe, well-equipped learning environments for large numbers of students, including internally displaced children and orphans.
