Nigerian Rapper, Naira Marley has cancelled his plan to lead a protest today against SARS brutality.
Recall that the ‘soapy’ crooner had once announced on twitter that he would be leading a protest to #EndSARS.
He announced the date and Venue of the protest, which is 9am today.
In response to him, Minister Sunday Dare told him not to embark on the protest.
Naira Marley replied him that they need an assurance from the government to #EndSARS.
Apparently, the rapper has cancelled it, since he hasn’t been spotted protesting.
Naira Marley tweeted:
“So, 9am tomorrow we move 2nd toll gate Peaceful protest No vandalism, no fights and no stealing,”
Minister’s reply
“I urge you and other youth not to embark upon any protest. Your grievances are being addressed at the highest level of government. As the Minister in charge of youth I know this is an issue that must be tackled. Government is doing just that.”
