
As the world comes together in unity to celebrate Father’s Day, the leadership and people of Awka North Local Government Area joined millions across the globe in recognizing the immense contributions of fathers and father figures in shaping families and communities.
In a special message to mark the occasion, Hon. ThankGod Chibuike Anago, Mayor of Awka North LGA, extended his heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to all fathers, describing them as “great pillars and foundations of every family.” He emphasized that fathers play crucial roles not only in molding individual character but also in driving the progress of communities and society at large.
“Their impact in Awka North and beyond has moved the council to a new trajectory. They’ve worked tirelessly, sacrificing a huge part of their lives for a better Awka North,” said Hon. Anago.
The Mayor further highlighted the invaluable sacrifices made by fathers across various communities within the council, acknowledging their commitment to peacebuilding, leadership, and community development. He urged citizens to recognize and celebrate these contributions not just on Father’s Day, but continuously throughout the year.

The Mayor concluded his address with a prayer for blessings upon all fathers and a rallying call for continued partnership in the development of Awka North.
