
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has appointed Abdulwahab Mohammed as Senior Special Assistant on Communication.
This was disclosed in a press release issued on Friday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
According to Gidado, Abdulwahab, a seasoned journalist and former staff member of the Hausa Service of Voice of America, brings decades of media experience to the role.
“His appointment reflects Governor Bala Mohammed’s commitment to strengthening the state’s communication machinery and deepening government engagement with the public.
The new appointee is expected to play a key role in projecting the state’s policies and programmes, enhancing public awareness, and promoting good governance”, Gidado said.
Gidado noted that Abdulwahab’s track record of objectivity and dedication makes him a trusted voice in journalism.
Mohammed congratulated the new appointee and urged him to utilise his vast expertise in discharging his responsibilities, aligning with the administration’s vision of building a more informed and inclusive society.The appointment takes immediate effect.
