A Nigerian man, Osayande Rapheal Osaretin, has taken to Facebook to share the painful story of his young marriage, alleging betrayal and infidelity by his wife just two months after their wedding.
According to Osaretin, he discovered that his wife had been involved in an affair with another man long before their union, and the relationship reportedly continued after their June 14, 2025 wedding. He claimed the man not only provided his wife with financial support but also gifted her a Toyota Camry, which became a source of tension when he insisted she return it.
In his post, Osaretin expressed deep anguish over the situation, saying he had attempted to resolve the matter amicably by suggesting an end to the marriage, but his wife refused. He further lamented that despite proof of the affair, she continued to deny the allegations and protect the other man.
“This has turned my life upside down. I can’t sleep, I can’t think straight. I wanted us to build a future together, but instead, I met denial and betrayal,” he wrote.
The young husband also linked his pain to wider family tragedies, including the death of his mother shortly after his wedding, which he says compounded his grief. He added that attempts by family members and church leaders to intervene in the crisis proved unsuccessful, as his wife allegedly refused counseling sessions.
Osaretin’s post, which he described as a “cry for help,” underscores his desire for both advice and prayers as he navigates the heartbreak. He warned that marriages without truth, respect, and faithfulness are bound to collapse, urging others to learn from his experience.
“I don’t share my story to disgrace anyone but so others can learn,” he concluded.
