Nicki Minaj Faces Deadline to Pay $503,000 Judgment or Risk Losing $20m California Mansion

Nicki Minaj is facing mounting legal pressure as a Los Angeles court prepares to rule on the possible sale of her California mansion to satisfy a $503,000 lawsuit judgment.

The rapper reportedly has until later this week to pay the default judgment awarded to her former security guard, Thomas Weidenmuller, or risk enforcement action against her $20 million home. Weidenmuller filed the lawsuit in 2022, alleging he was assaulted by Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, during an incident in 2019.

Court records show that Minaj failed to properly respond to the lawsuit, leading to a default judgment entered against her in 2024. In November, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Cindy Pánuco indicated her intention to enforce the sale of Minaj’s property if the judgment remained unpaid.

However, the judge delayed the decision to review financial records detailing how much Minaj has paid toward the $13 million mortgage on the home, which she purchased in October 2022 and is now valued at approximately $20 million.

Judge Pánuco is scheduled to issue a final ruling on Thursday, January 22. Unless Minaj makes a last-minute payment or files an appeal, the court could authorize steps toward selling the property to satisfy the judgment.
