Nigeria’s head coach, Éric Chelle, has claimed that a member of the DR Congo team engaged in “dark magic” during the penalty shootout of the World Cup playoff final.
Chelle, visibly frustrated after the tense encounter, said the alleged act was the reason tempers flared between him and some DR Congo officials at full-time.
“During all the penalties, the guy from DR Congo did some voodoo,” Chelle alleged, insisting the incident contributed to the heated exchange at the end of the match.
