A young woman identified as Mirabel has publicly retracted her earlier rape allegations, admitting that the claims were false and fabricated.
In an emotional statement, Mirabel apologised to Nigerians, saying, “Nigerians please forgive me, I am sorry, I am tired,” as she confessed that she made up the story, created a fake account and sent messages to herself to support the narrative.
She further disclosed that she has been battling severe emotional distress, revealing struggles with self-harm and suicidal thoughts. According to her, she has been going through a difficult period following the loss of her father, mother and brother, leaving her orphaned and without close family support.
Mirabel also stated that she reached out to social media personality VeryDarkMan, seeking help amid her mental health crisis.
