Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, have officially secured qualification for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup for the eighth time in the history of the competition.
The Flamingos booked their spot at this year’s global showpiece after a commanding performance against Algeria, winning 4-0 on aggregate over two legs.
This latest triumph continues Nigeria’s impressive record in the tournament, reaffirming their status as one of Africa’s strongest sides in women’s youth football.
