Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, has shared photos from the ongoing High-Level Strategic Security Summit in Rome, Italy.

In a post on Thursday, Ojukwu revealed that the meeting was held under the framework of the Aqaba Process, with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu leading Nigeria’s delegation.

Also in attendance were the National Security Adviser, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and members of Nigeria’s Defence Delegation.
The high-profile summit, which took place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, brought together several Presidents, Heads of State, and Government representatives from across the world.

President Tinubu, in his remarks, delivered what many described as one of the summit’s most powerful statements, declaring that “terrorism understands no other language but defeat.” He also cautioned that “the neglect of West Africa will be one of the most dangerous catastrophes for the continent,” noting that more than half of global terrorism victims are recorded in the region.
