Ghanaian content creator and YouTuber, Kwadwo Sheldon, has taken a swipe at Nigeria following the Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In a viral video circulating on social media, Sheldon questioned how Nigerian citizens would have watched their national team even if they had qualified, given the country’s persistent electricity challenges.
“You don’t have electricity, you want to go to the World Cup. How would your citizens watch you?” he said, throwing a jab that sparked mixed reactions online.
His comments come after Nigeria missed out on securing a spot at the global tournament, triggering disappointment among fans and fueling online banter between football supporters across West Africa.
