A Ugandan traveler has praised the noticeable improvement in conduct and professionalism at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, highlighting a positive shift in passenger experience over the past two years.
Speaking after her recent arrival in Nigeria, the passenger recounted her previous experience at the airport, alleging that some staff had demanded foreign currency, including dollars and shillings, during her last visit.
However, she expressed surprise and satisfaction at the current situation, noting that airport personnel now appear more professional and no longer solicit money from travelers.
“When I came to Nigeria two years ago, the airport staff were asking me for dollars and shillings. Now, everyone is acting professional and no one asked me for any money,” she said.
Her remarks come amid ongoing reforms and increased scrutiny of operations at Nigerian airports, aimed at improving transparency, accountability, and the country’s global image.
