Nollywood actress Fockelly has recounted a frightening early-morning encounter with a snake inside her kitchen, sparking reactions online and reviving debates about snakes invading residential homes.
According to the actress, the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday when her younger sister woke up during the night to clear dirty dishes. Fockelly said she sent her sister back to bed, advising her to attend the 6:00 a.m. church service and leave the dishes for later.
However, after her sister left for church, the actress decided to clear the plates and prepare a meal. On entering the kitchen, she was shocked to find a snake calmly positioned inside the tiled space.
Narrating the experience, Fockelly expressed disbelief at the sight, noting that she had always heard that snakes do not climb tiled surfaces. She questioned how the reptile gained access to the kitchen in the first place.
The actress said she narrowly avoided a possible snake bite, describing the experience as terrifying and thanking God for her safety and that of her family.
