North Korea Condemns U.S., Israel Strikes on Iran, Calls It ‘Illegal Aggression’

North Korea

North Korea has condemned the recent attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel, describing them as acts of aggression and violations of sovereignty.

According to the Korean Central News Agency on Sunday, a spokesperson for North Korea’s foreign ministry issued a statement criticising both Israel’s strikes and the U.S. military operation.

The spokesperson described the actions as “illegal aggression” and a breach of national sovereignty.

Reacting to Washington’s involvement, the spokesperson said the U.S. military operation against Iran was “within the range of expectations,” attributing it to what was described as the “hegemonic and gangster-like” nature of the United States.

The statement further labelled the actions of both countries as a “war of aggression” and said it was unacceptable under any circumstances.

North Korea also called on countries in the region and others with shared interests to take responsibility for restoring peace and stability in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Israel’s military announced on Sunday that it had launched a broad wave of strikes in central Tehran.

The development followed a large-scale air operation that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, heightening concerns about instability across the Middle East.
