NUJ certificate mess: Court adjourns to March 19

The certificate mess involving embattled NUJ President Chris Isiguzo which came up Monday March 2 at the National Industrial Court Abuja, has been adjourned to March 19, 2020.

The matter which came up for mention was adjourned for hearing.

Immediate past President Waheed Odusile who came second in the last National delegates Conference election in Abeokuta is asking the court to declare him winner since Isiguzo does not possess the basic academic qualification to be president.

The embattled NUJ President who contested election as Chris Isiguzo is parading a questionable ND Certificate from Oko Polytechnic with the name Isinguzo Ikechukwu C with which he contested the election.

Like the Bayelsa Deputy Governor he has sworn an affidavit claiming that the names are his.

He further attached a fake letter of appointment in his statement of defense which the alleged author has disowned.

He claimed to have been employed in Winner Newspapers.

But in his reply which has been filed in court, the supposed author noted that the letter head Isiguzo used is fake.

He also said he never signed any appointment letter and did not sign the fake letter.

He also, in black and white said that the paper was no longer in existence by the date the letter was purportedly written.
