Business mogul and socialite, Obi Cubana, has opened up about his journey of love and marriage, emphasizing that true happiness in a union is not built on wealth but on mutual respect, love, and commitment.
In a heartfelt reflection, Cubana revealed that he began dating his wife while living in a single room apartment, popularly known as “Face-Me-I-Face-You,” which he shared with four friends. At the time, he had no bed and slept on a mattress placed directly on the floor.
Despite his financial struggles, his wife fell in love with him for who he was, not for money. He added that they both remained celibate until their wedding, proudly stating that they married as virgins.
“I married her when I was living in a 3-bedroom flat, and we raised our two children there. We were happy then, and we are still happy now,” he said.
Cubana stressed that money does not guarantee the success of a marriage. According to him, money only makes marriage easier but does not bring happiness or prevent divorce. He argued that many wealthy people struggle with divorce because they fail to give their partners the attention they deserve.
“Women love attention, but most rich men don’t have the time to give them attention. That’s why rich people mostly divorce,” he noted.
The nightlife entrepreneur proudly declared that his love for his wife has remained constant despite their financial success. “I’ve never cheated on my wife, and I never will,” he said firmly.
