President, Mount Zion Youth Structure, MZYS, Comrade Uche Nwabuisi, has blown hot over the recent outbursts of a former Commissioner for Finance in Abia State, Mr. Obinna Oriaku, on the members of the State Assembly.
It will be recalled that Mr. Oriaku had alleged that members of the State House of Assembly under the able leadership of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji made away about 9 million Naira monthly allowance.
However, addressing journalists in Umuahia, Monday, while stating position, Nwabuisi popularly known as “Gadagwo” in the Abia political space, called for the arrest of the ex-Finance Commissioner, Oriaku for the clear falsehood aimed at casting aspersion on the integrity of the Abia Assembly lawmakers.
MZYS President, criticized Oriaku and challenged him to come forward with substantial facts rather than playing scripts, in order to achieve personal aggrandizement over his failure to return back in Governor Okezie Ikpeazu-led State Executive Council, SEC, as well as the latter’s current second term in office.
Nwabuisi further cautioned the former Commissioner on negative and provocative utterances and recalled how Oriaku allegedly milked finances of Abia State using private company in collecting the internally generated revenues.of the state.
The Youth leader also alarmed that Oriaku is crying wolf due to the excellent move of the leadership of the Abia House of Assembly blocking leakages in which Abia treasury are being milked by the likes of the ex-Commissioner.
Nwabuisi commended the Speaker and members of the house for their undetered and good efforts in complementing the gains of the current administration, particularly, in the provision of basic and social amenities to the doorsteps of Abia citizenry.
He advised the leadership of the State Assembly under Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, to continue and ignore the antics, distractions and orchestrated character assassination, by never-to do-well individuals, intended to cause disaffections between the state lawmakers and their constituents(People).
Nwabuisi further urged them to remain focus and steadfast in their overwhelming performances through their sponsorship of motions and bills, which he asserted, have impacted positively on the lives of Abia populaces.
He vowed that Mount Zion Youths would be forced to head to the court of law if the former Finance Minister, Obinna Oriaku fail to prove his baseless tantrums on the Abia Assembly within seven days.
Nwabuisi used the opportunity and commended Governor Okezie Ikpeazu over strides recorded in most sectors of Abia economy, which has placed Abia, in world map of development, especially, the promotion of local manufacturing and ongoig establishment of Enyimba Economic City.
