Olivier Giroud’s Goal Against Atletico Madrid Gives Chelsea a Hope into Ucl Quarter Final

Chelsea’s dependable striker and French International forward has put CHELSEA ahead their opponent, Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League clash in Romania.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions by the Spanish government the match was played at a neutral venue.

The match which ended at goaless draw in the first half, saw Chelsea coming out in the second half with a hard fought victory.

It was Giroud’s goal that separated the two teams at the 70th minute.

As it stands, Thomas Tuchel’s men are looking at the quarter final stage of the competition if they can avoid conceding a goal in the second leg.

The Blues have the advantage as they will be playing at home and with an away goal in their basket..

The fans of the club are looking to celebrate this victory if they can complete the job at Stamford Bridge.

Giroud has done very well for Chelsea and he will be hoping to get more playing time under the new manager in which he was not getting under Frank Lampard.
