Mayor, ThankGod Anago

The Mayor of Awka North Local Government Area, Hon. ThankGod Chibuike Anago, earlier today received the newly elected President-General of the Isuaniocha Development Union, Mr. Ifeadi Pascal Afam, along with other key stakeholders from the community.

The delegation, on an official visit, presented the certificate of recognition issued by the Anambra State Government, affirming the legitimacy of the newly elected town union executives.

The meeting, held at the Awka North LGA headquarters, provided a valuable opportunity for a one-on-one discussion between the Mayor and the Isuaniocha leadership on collaborative strategies to advance both the Isuaniocha community and the larger Awka North LGA.

While congratulating Mr. Afam on his election, Mayor Anago urged him to leverage his new office as a unifying force for the community. He emphasized the importance of fostering peace, promoting cleanliness, and building a livable environment for all residents.

“I charge you to use your new office as a veritable platform to unite the people of Isuaniocha and ensure a peaceful, clean, and liveable community,” the Mayor stated.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to grassroots development, Mayor Anago pledged continued support for all town unions in Awka North, in alignment with his “Olu Obodo” (Community Development) mantra.

“As a government, and in line with our Olu Obodo vision for a better Awka North, we will continue to provide every necessary support to town union leaderships to help them deliver on their mandate,” he assured.
