A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after a video of him criticizing the state of insecurity in Ondo State went viral.
In the video, the unidentified man alleged that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were distributing incentives, including two liters of fuel and ₦5,000, to commercial motorcycle riders in the state. However, he dismissed the gesture as insufficient, stressing that what residents truly need is improved security.
“Here in Ondo State, APC is giving bike riders 2 liters of fuel and ₦5,000, but that’s not what I need,” he said. “I want President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address the growing insecurity in Ondo; it’s getting out of hand.”
He further linked the security concerns to the reported absence of popular figure Peller in Akure, suggesting that the situation may be discouraging visits and public activities in the state capital.
The video has since generated mixed reactions on social media, with many Nigerians echoing concerns over rising insecurity in parts of the country, while others debated the claims surrounding political inducements.
