No fewer than 1000 undergraduate students across Ondo South Senatorial District are set to benefit from a N100 million educational support initiative sponsored by Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR.
The Senator, a renowned business and war strategist who represents Ondo South in the National Assembly, announced that the gesture is aimed at augmenting the tuition fees of undergraduates from the district as they resume for the new academic session this September.
Dr. Ibrahim, who holds nine degree certificates, explained that many parents in the district, most of whom are peasant farmers, fishermen, and traders, face enormous financial challenges in meeting their children’s academic needs. He stressed that the intervention became necessary to alleviate such burdens and encourage youths in the district to pursue their education without fear of financial setbacks.
The disbursement, scheduled for September 25, 2025, will see each of the 1000 beneficiaries receive N100,000. Forms will be distributed through traditional rulers, APC secretariats, and Aseyori leaders in the district, while online access will be provided for indigenes residing outside their communities.
Senator Ibrahim assured that the funds would be presented to students in the form of bank drafts, stressing that education remains a priority in his developmental agenda.
In his words:
“I cherish education and I appreciate anyone determined to acquire it. Many parents are struggling to pay their children’s tuition, and it behoves me to lend a helping hand to reduce the pressure they face every academic session. This fund is open to all undergraduates from across Ondo South, and the first 1000 who obtain the forms will benefit.”
The billionaire philanthropist reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the dreams and visions of undergraduates in Ondo South Senatorial District are realised through quality education support.
