The Police Command in Oyo State has assured the citizens of the state and Nigerians in general that perpetrator of gender based violence against children, female won’t go unpunished.
The Area Commander Eruwa command, ACP Ruth Otolorin gave the assurance during a community outreach as part of activities to celebrate 70th anniversary of women in policing on Saturday in Ibadan.
Otolorin, who led the team of women Police in the command to Eleyele market in Ibadan, called on the citizens to expose perpetrator of violence against children, female and others in order to secure the society.
The area commander further called on Nigerians to have attitudinal change about the police for them to serve better.
Atolorin appealed to the female gender to apply for police job, adding that they could rise to any rank in the profession without discrimination, She added that about 10 women are Area Commanders in the Oyo State Police Command.
