French footballer Paul Pogba has broken his silence on the emotional toll of his doping ban, revealing how drastically his life changed after the suspension.
Speaking candidly ahead of his expected return to football, Pogba shared how the ban reshaped his perspective: “We are all human, we all have feelings. I’m telling you, when that ban happened, I truly realised what life is.”
The former Manchester United and Juventus star said fame quickly faded: “Paul Pogba – the famous guy – is no more. People were avoiding me. I used to get invited to fashion weeks and events like that. Now they were like: ‘we can’t use Pogba.’”
He added that even personal relationships were affected: “My friends weren’t ringing like the way they were ringing before.”
