Pay Your Taxes To Imo State Government Only — Ebegbulem Tells Egbeada Market Traders

The Imo State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry Hon. Simon Ebegbulem yesterday paid a working visit to Egbeada Market in Mbaitolu LGA, Imo State.

Hon. Ebegbulem during the visit told the traders not to pay taxes to any Local Government Representative that came around as only the State Government has the right to collect taxes from the markets. He assured them that they would face no harassment from Local Government Representatives as the Local Government has been updated on the limits of their rights.

He also warned the people illegally selling shops in Egbeada market to desist from it as the long arms of the law would catch up with them and the Senators Hope Uzodinma led Administration would go lengths to see that those fraudsters are brought to book.

On a final note, Hon. Ebegbulem assured the traders of the State Government’s dedication in putting their needs first and promised that something would be done about the roads in the market affected by erosion.
