Former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has stated that he is actively seeking the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), though he is not yet certain he will secure the party’s nomination.
Obi made the remarks while speaking at an interactive session with members of the Obidient Movement in Enugu.
Addressing supporters during the session, the former Anambra State governor said he is determined to contest for the ticket and is prepared to campaign across the country regardless of any opposition.
According to him, he had been told that some individuals were warning him not to visit certain states for campaign activities. However, Obi dismissed such concerns, insisting that he is not afraid to travel anywhere in Nigeria if necessary.
He emphasised that political engagement should not be restricted by fear or intimidation, noting that every politician has the right to reach out to citizens across the country.
Obi further reiterated his resolve to continue interacting with supporters and stakeholders as the political landscape ahead of the next presidential election continues to evolve.
