Afrobeats star Davido revealed in an interview with Noire TV, ahead of his Canadian tour stop, that politics has always been part of his family’s legacy.
His grandfather once served as a senator, his late uncle Isiaka Adeleke was Osun State’s first elected governor, and his uncle Ademola Adeleke is the current governor of Osun State.
When asked about his own political ambitions, Davido laughed it off, saying:
“Nah, I’m enjoying myself for now.”
While his father chairs Pacific Holdings, a leading company in energy, freight, and logistics, Davido has carved out his own path blending the family’s business mindset with his highly successful music career.
